An Antidote to Christmas Stress
There's nothing quite like a traditional Christmas Market to encourage even the most jaded Christmas-shopper into the festive spirit. The antithesis of traffic warden/parking meter angst and shopping centre crushes, an outdoor market with all the trimmings is just the thing to put you in the mood, and if it comes with a festive dusting of snow it's really the icing on the cake.
After all the preparations it's hard to believe that the Logie Steading Christmas Market is over for another year. This time it was especially festive with a picture-perfect amount of snow - as captured here by the ever-wonderful Gary Murison.
For the first time we had over 40 stalls, from crafts, to sweet treats, wreaths to hot food, mulled wine to toys and everything in between.
A Walk Around the Logie Steading Christmas Market 2017
For the first time this year we had the Elgin City Brass Band along to really up the festive atmosphere. Here's one of the youngest audience members clapping along..
We had a welcoming fire in the centre of the courtyard with Logie Primary School's Parent Council toasting marshmallows - a popular spot for visitors and stallholders alike looking to warm their fingers and toes on a bright but chilly weekend..
And here's some of the stalls and stallholders..
Cheery Roots, Shoots & Leaves at Logie Steading Christmas Market with their lovely organic, locally sourced veg.
Christmas wreaths from Green's Nurseries.
And at the end of the day, all the usual Logie Steading shops were open too - and will be every day until Christmas Eve. So if you still have a few things to tick off your Christmas List, why not escape the crowds and shop in the beautiful and tranquil surrounds of Logie Steading!
Many thanks to Gary Murison and Geoff Matthews for sharing their fantastic photos of the market with us, reproduced here.
