Pruning & Propagation Theory & Practice

The mention of pruning puts many gardeners into a panic; this is the moment to de-mystify the subject!

Andrew will explain the theory and the whys and wherefores and then help you to put the theory into practice on some of the shrubs and roses in the Logie House garden. You will go home with the knowledge to give you the confidence to tackle your own shrubs and roses.

There will also be time to discuss the various methods you can use to increase the stock of plants in your garden

Andrew trained with the National Trust for Scotland, became Head Gardener at Branklyn Garden, Perth followed by five years as Head Gardener at the House of Pitmuies, Forfar. He is an enthusiastic and knowledgeable plantsman and now runs his own garden business. His courses offer hands on professional practicality with a wide range of theoretical information, at all times aiming to share ideas and extend the ability and confidence of the individual.
