in the Square Room at Logie Steading Art Gallery
Following a successful international career in commercial design, with a specialist fashion and textile pedigree a life changing accident brought Stuart back to his first love of creativity – painting.
Delving deep into the medium of paint has not only brought an outlet for creative expression but has been an artistic meditation on a life now lived in constant physical pain. How creating expressive art has the capacity to lift the consciousness, drawing the Spirit onwards to find expressive solutions, is ever inspiring.
‘I have a particular draw towards, and interest in, subjects that are both light-reflective and offering a myriad of colour manifestation; despite being a wheelchair user I enjoy painting ‘en plein air’ whenever I can.’
