Findhorn, Nairn & Lossie Fisheries Trust

Our rivers and fish are important natural resources and part of the heritage of our countryside. The Findhorn, Nairn and Lossie Fisheries Trust is a charity which aims to conserve and restore stocks of wild salmon and sea trout through the sustainable management of river resources, habitat restoration, and provision of information and advice for river users.

The FNLFT biologist, Bob Laughton, is on the river throughout the year:-

Conducting juvenile fish surveys

Restoring riverbank habitats through the eradication of invasive plants

Monitoring and controlling predators and eradicating non-native species such as mink and crayfish

Monitoring developments such as wind farms and infrastructure upgrades

Inspiring schools and other groups on the wonderful world of rivers and fish
