Your Event at Logie Steading
There are a few different ways in which you can host an event at Logie Steading.
Firstly, we have a dedicated space which is ideal for meetings, courses, exhibitions, pop up shops, small scale markets, private events and more. Please see below for more information about booking the Long Room.
Beyond this space, we often work with third party providers to support courses such as photography walks and bushcraft skills which focus time out on the Estate, usually using Logie Steading as a meeting point and base for parking, toilets and amenities. We are very much open to ideas and suggestions of what kind of events we could support. While we may not be able to fulfil all requests, to start a discussion please send any ideas or suggestions to jo@logie.co.uk.
The Long Room
The Long Room sits in part of the Big Garage, renovated and opened in 2013. This light and spacious room is available to hire for short and longer-term projects, both during the day and in the evening. It has traditional small-pane windows along the south facing wall with deeps sills, carpeted floor, a mellow neutral colour scheme and is entered through the entirely glazed east-facing archway.
The Long Room Provides
- Room space of 11m x 4m (plus kitchenette and WC)

Comfortable chairs and tables, which you can configure in your desired format. As a guide, 40 people sitting in rows for a talk with space for a table and speaker at the front, 15 people sitting round a block of tables, or 9 people making willow baskets. - 8 6ft trestle tables. We do not provide covers.
- Good natural and artificial lighting for exhibitions.
- Picture rail for hanging artworks or similar with plenty of wall-space.
- Projector suitable for presentations.
- WiFi.
- Its own mini-kitchen (kettle, crockery, fridge etc), store and WC. Please bring your own tea and coffee or consider using the on-site Café.
- Central heating and electricity included.
- Wheelchair access.
- Access to the rest of the Steading businesses during opening hours.

Rates Guide
The rates to hire the Long Room depend on length and type of hire. As a guide, from 1st April 2024, one full day is £90. Reduced rental rates are offered for consecutive days and longer-term lets for e.g. exhibitions or pop-up shops. So, the longer you hire the room, the more reduced the day rate becomes overtime.
