Lochindorb
The wild brown trout of Lochindorb may not grow to any great size but there are lots of them and they take freely. Fed by burns from the surrounding moors, Lochindorb is peaty and some what acidic. These feeder burns mean there is plenty of space for the wild trout to breed and the resulting numbers in the loch make it the ideal place for those starting to fish, particularly children, as it is a rare day when nothing is caught and it is not unusual for 5 or 10 fish to be caught by one rod. Boats are available for hire from 1st May to 30th September, please contact:
Fishing is also available on the River Findhorn. |
