The Olive Tree Café is set in a stunning location above the River Findhorn at Logie Steading.

One of the strengths of Logie Steading is that all the businesses are individually owned and run by people who have a passion for their ‘trade’. Gill and Weller de Oliveira enjoy bringing their passion for good food to the café.

The café has a wonderful ethos of great food sourced locally and seasonally.  Meat comes from MacBeths, the widely acclaimed butcher in Forres. Traceability is complete as MacBeth's meat comes from their own farm just a few miles away.

All baking is homemade on the premises and the fabulous chocolate fudge cake, gingerbread, and chocolate brownies are all gluten-free, whilst the fruitcake is both sucrose and dairy-free, making it suitable for diabetics. All other cakes are made with butter, not margarine, and you can taste the difference. There are also many vegan and vegetarian options available on the menu including a vegan soup which is on offer daily and there is a children’s menu available for families that visit. All food is freshly

prepared in the café in an environment that is welcoming and friendly.

‘Logie Steading is a special place for any visitor with endless things to see and do. The beautiful countryside as a backdrop is an incredible place to explore. During the summer months the outside courtyard is a popular place to sit and relax over a morning coffee, or later in the day, to enjoy a tasty lunch from the café in the sunshine.
